Pro/Ams are Professional/Amateur competitions.  This is one of the most popular areas available in competition today. 

Why Compete in Pro/Ams?  Here are some the most frequent responses:

  I do not have a dance partner and I wish to compete
  I wish to be judged as an individual
  I seek the thrill of competing but need the security of a Pro

Divisions:
So now that you know that competing is only a dance teacher away, are you ready?  Here are the latest divisions available to the Pro/Am partnership.

  ProAm Just Dance Division
Lead and follow. The competition picks the music. No choreography.

  ProAm Classic Division
You pick the music and perform a choreographed routine.  No lifts and drops allowed.

  ProAm Showcase Division
You pick the music and choreograph a routine.  Lifts and drops are allowed.

Requirements:
There are certain requirements that must be met in order to qualify to compete in a Pro/Am competition:

  Minimum of 10 private lessons initially & 4 private lessons prior to every competition there after
  Mandatory to begin competing in the "Novice" division first, unless you have prior competition experience
  Must place in the top 3 placements three times before advancing into the next level
  Student is responsible for all entry fees
